WHO WE ARE

Piney River Baptist Church

We are a group of dedicated individuals passionate about serving the Lord.

We believe the Holy Spirit draws men and women to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church. The church’s role is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God. We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth, and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God.

We believe that Jesus will return one day for His Church.

We are here for you

We preach truth in grace grace

We believe that Jesus extended grace to everyone He came into contact with while at the same time bringing truth to any that would listen. We strive to be like Him in all things including the proclaimtion of His Word. We extend grace to the sinner while also offering His truth to help free them.

We worship hard and pray harder

We believe that Jesus is central to everything. We believe that prayer is essential in the life of the Believer and we are to pray without ceasing. Worship is our honor and privilege to show our graditude to God.

We believe in the power of fellowship

We are called to join in fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We believe that reaching out to the lost and engaging with them will strengthen our bond with each other through God.

We are a church who loves

Jesus said that we will be known by our love. We take this seriously and shower every person who comes through our doors with the love of Christ.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Come as you are

We want you to come just as you are. When you walk through our doors you may see people in suits and ties, but you will also see people in jeans and t-shirts. We want to make sure when you visit you are comfortable and that is all that matters to us. As long you come through our doors, we want to make sure you feel loved and welcomed.
