WE ARE A GROUP OF DEDICATED INDIVIDUALS PASSIONATE ABOUT SERVING THE LORD.
We believe the Holy Spirit draws men and women to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church. The church’s role is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God. We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth, and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute.

OUR PURPOSE
To propagate among all people the gospel of Jesus Christ. To provide opportunities for worship, training, spirtitual growth, evangelism, missions, and service through combined efforts of individual members.
OUR MISSION
We, the members of Piney River Baptist Church do hereby voluntarily, freely covenant with one another to be one body, under one head, which is Christ, and jointly exist in church fellowship by the bonds and rules of the gospel.
OUR HISTORY
GET TO KNOW US
Piney River Baptist Church began from a group of individuals who were formerly members of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. They came together to form and constitute a new church in the thriving frontier village of Woodson, Virginia on August 15, 1833. Piney River Baptist Church continues to serve the community and members continue to seek to be true to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
