Hello Nelson County and Piney River Community. My name is James Bryant and my wife Anna and I are more than blessed to embark upon serving our Savior Jesus Christ in union with the wonderful congregation of Piney River Baptist Church! As the new Pastor of Piney River Baptist Church we look forward to building realtionships, understanding the culture and the needs of the community to greater follow God's purpose for this local Church to minister the gospel and reach out  to the commuinity in love as Christ has so loved us. I was born in Lenoir, NC in a valley town called Happy Valley and was taken as a very young boy to the mountains of Western Carolina with men of God who gathered in a little circuit riding preacher cabin back in the woods to pray and beseech God on behalf of the communities that were in the valleys below to be revived and the fire of God be ignited. I beseech God's richest blessings upon this Church and Community.
